Very interesting tour of an historic brewery. We enjoyed a varied and tasty buffet afterwards. Good for group visits.
Good food, good beer and friendly service in a pleasant and distinctive pub at a very reasonable price. Visited in April 18 and still good.
Have been in hear before sometime ago and it was iffy then. The food today was okish, Steak & Kidney pie looked like a Pork pie, the crust so rock hard, Mash potatoe was okish, Cabbage was water logged, Carrots & Calibree were ok. Grilled Chicken, chips & veg okish. The young lass who was serving behind the bar was swearing and getting to familiar with the customers that were in there. One customer big mouth and not once was he asked to calm it down or leave. Not good for other customers who just want a nice peaceful meal.I would not go back unless they got better well mannered staff who knows what it means to work or run a place like this.

An excellent range of local beers and spirits. Don't expect any brand names here but do expect some quality ales. Nice little courtyard outside. Highly recommended.
