Always love a walk around Burghley grounds, very beautiful scenery with lots of wildlife to spot.
House very good but garden cafe was a let down again. Running out of coffee and serving up warm milk at the normal price is disgraceful
We visited the secret water garden which was fabulous. The food at the garden cafe was however very expensive (3.95 for a sausage roll!) and the choice poor. Overall a great day for the kids and a bonus that your ticket covers you for a year.
Such fun to be had with children. The garden of surprises is amazing with little ones. Water splash park essentially with lots of ways to interact and play in water.The gardens are also lovely to walk around with lots of space to run and loads of sculptures to view.Lots to explore. Take a picnic too and have it in the gardens outside the paid entry area before or after you go in. Kick a ball around too, plenty of space.All in all a lovely day out.
