Had a good 3 nights here. Nice place but areas are in need of redecoration and TLC.
Stayed at the Cecil numerous times and have always been impressed. It's traditional style is very fitting and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
For our early annervrsary and a nights break from the kids my wife and I stayed here in the downstairs lodge of which was beautiful. The place is amazing. The staff are relaxed, polite and extremely helpful. There's ample parking and the centre is only a 5 minutes walk away. Food here is very good. Quality, and brilliantly presented. Can't wait to go back.
Very nice hotel with ample parking and in a great location for exploring Stamford.Nice comfortable room, all be it a bit cramped with a very low ceiling.Good shower.Excellent breakfast.
Good room, extremely comfortable bed, nice food, excellent location but have to complain about the service. Had wasps in room. Room wasn't serviced during our two night stay. Waited for twenty minutes at reception on arrival because no one was at the desk. Waiting staff in the restaurant - there weren't enough and they were badly trained so service was extremely slow (half an hour to bring us a bottle of water). I'd expect better service for a hotel in this price range.
