Great selection of cards, magazines and chocolates downstairs and a lovely book room upstairs in this historic building on Stamford High Street. It's my first stop to find a card and a present and support a local shop.
I adore this book shop, bargain books, little cafe upstairs and so reasonably priced. The book selection is vast ranging from adults to children and lots of board games and gifts. I live 2 hours away and we have no qualms about jumping in the car and coming here just for a homemade scone and a nosey around the books!
Ive been trying to get a book with Wordsworths Daffodil poem in it and recently visited Walkers for help. Both members of staff (Linda/Emma) I spoke to were more than happy to take the time to find it for me and were extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent range of books, cards, news and chocolates and friendly customer service.
I love this shop, I visit from London regularly and always make a point of getting book recommendations which, so far have been excellent choices. The staff are always friendly and happy to help you however long you take.I wish more shops were like this, shopping would always be a pleasant experience . Well done Walkers.
